Market-access marks — UL or ETL in North America, CE in Europe — determine whether equipment can be legally installed, energized and insured in your jurisdiction. Never take a logo on a website at face value: check the certificate number in the issuing body's public directory before you shortlist.

ISO 9001 audits the consistency of design and production; IATF 16949 goes further — it is the automotive industry's quality language, and a factory audited to it treats component traceability, change control and defect containment as routine.
